San Francisco & Livermore

We've headed north after the wedding. We are up in Livermore, CA at Mike's sister's house-- just on the other side of the bay and a bit inland from San Francisco. Heather and I headed into SF yesterday, to tour around. We walked the Embarcadero from pier 1 down to pier 41... hitting all the crazy sights along the way... We basically walked a giant circle around downtown... Embarcadero / Van Ness / Geary / Market... It was a great day in SF, meaning slightly sunny combined with 60 degree clouds, crazy people, wild stores, and too much to visit. We visited a place we went on our honeymoon, the Buena Vista, and went into a Borders books to find a place for dinner. We ended up at an old joint -- pretty packed (a good sign) called Tadish Grill. Boasting about being the oldest restaurant in CA -- The cioppino was excellent as well as the mixed seafood saute. We sat at the dinner bar and enjoyed the hustle and bustle of a popular place before heading home on the "bart" train back to Mike's sister's place. Next up -- Redwoods.

  1. We are definitely missing you two! Life's just not quite the same without Mike and Heather. Heather, I'm really missing our Thursday morning coffee dates and can't wait for you to get home so we can get together...this is a crazy time in the Cummings household. Pray for wisdom for us as we're trying to sort through some work stuff for
Andrea...we'll fill you in when we talk to you next!

By the way...you two are looking awfully tan! I'm so jealous!
