We've made it to Denver. After a nice rainstorm in Iowa and a night at the Stewart Motor Lodge in Stewart, IA. the drive was long but uneventful. We watched Gilmore Girls (Mike only glanced while driving) and listened to a book on tape to make the time go by fast. We arrived in Denver at 4 pm today (local time). We were pretty tired and hungry, so we made our way downtown and found a chalk art festival going on. We enjoyed fusion spanish cuisine... (???) at a restaurant fittingly called Rioja, and walked around the downtown for a while. It was a great night.
Awesome pictures! Bet the long drive to Denver was worth it. Looks like you two are already having a blast. Detroit is definitely not as fun as the West. I was trying to find a place to eat dinner, went south from 10 mile--definitely not a good section of town on 6 mile--went back to 10 mile. 3 more days in Detroit this week and then I am done with this gig and on to Buffalo!! Safe travels....
